What are essential oils?
Essential oils are natural plants extracts obtained mainly by water distillation of different parts of the plants, such as flowers, leaves, bark, roots, fruits or seeds.
The essential oils are highly concentrated plants extracts that can be used in differents ways to help improve our wellbeing. There are essential oils we can use to fight cold and flu, to help us to be relaxed or focused, for lymphatic massages, for oily or dry skin or even to clean our kitchen.
In general, essential oils are antiseptic and depending on the plant that it is extracted from, it may have several properties to treat differents problems in our phisical, mental or espiritual bodies.
Within the most known essential oils we can find lavender, tea tree, lemon, rose, sweet orange, rosemary or eucalyptus. This essential oils are obtained from different parts of the plants and using different extraction methods.

Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils, from diferent parts of the plant, this in order to improve our phisical, emotional and mental wellness.
The word "Aromatherapy" is derived from the french word "Aromatherapie", which was first used for the french quemist Gattefose in the 30 decade.
Although, word "Aromatherapy" is new, the use of aromatic compounds is ancient. We can find clues of it in different cultures such as Australian aborigines, China, Egypt or India.
